These cable seals are specially designed to work with our compatible trim / reverse cable products. The 1/4"-28UNF threaded end fit the open end of a cable, and the included tube nut threads on the bulkhead transom connection of each cable.
Cable Seals can prevent water ingress of the sheathing of the cables. Water inside the cables can possibly cause early failure or possible seizures in freezing temperatures.
We recommend filling the internal cavity of this seal with waterproof grease to help keep cables moving freely, and to help keep water out of the seal.
